Flower Care Guide
Make every bloom last a little longer
A few small rituals keep your flowers fresh and graceful. Here is how we care for ours.
Cut 2–3 cm from each stem at an angle with clean, sharp scissors before placing them in water, and again every couple of days.
Wash the vase with warm, soapy water, rinse it well and fill it with fresh, cool water. Add flower food if it came with your arrangement.
Leaves sitting in water soften quickly and cloud it. Gently strip anything that would sit below the surface.
Top up daily and replace the water completely every second day, re-trimming the stems as you go.
Radiators, sunny windowsills and warm appliances shorten vase life. A cool, bright spot out of direct sunlight is ideal.
Ripening fruit releases ethylene, a natural gas that ages flowers faster. Keep your arrangement away from the fruit bowl.
